At WGC and WGBA we know that coaches make all the difference and are our athletes role models and support system. Our coaches come from all different backgrounds which supports our diverse community and encourages growth with everyone! We know that coaches can make or break the experience and we have some of the best coaches you can find!
All of our coaches are USA Gymnastics certified and want to help gymnasts succeed in everything they wish to accomplish. Additionally, we have multiple parents who assist us during practice and support the competition team in their efforts of excellence.
Read a short bio of each of our coaches and practice assistants below!

I started gymnastics at a young age. I competed at the club and high school level in both Kansas and Colorado. I developed a love for coaching. I have worked with all ages and skill levels ranging from parent and child classes to college bound level 10's. I have my degree in Sports Administration and Exercise Science from Wichita State University. I started my journey with WGC in 1994 and my lifelong passion for gymnastics has inspired me to continue the legacy of WGC. I'd like to thank all the staff, gymnasts, and families that make WGC a great place for happy, healthy, confident athletes!

I am the proud mother of seven wonderful children. I have my registered nurse license, and I served in the United States Army for 4 years. In the past 11 years, I have coached a wide range of gymnastics from recreational class up to level 10. I have worked at Wichita Gymnastics for the past 9 years. I have been the head coach for the competitive team since 2019 and assist with a wide variety of administrative duties at the gym. I am also a member of the USA Gymnastics Kansas State Administrative Committee.

With over two decades of experience at Wichita Gymnastics, my journey began at age eight as a student and evolved into a competitive career spanning six years. Shortly thereafter, I transitioned into coaching, where I’ve had the privilege of working with athletes of all ages and skill levels—from recreational classes to Level 10 competitors. In addition to coaching, I specialize in choreographing floor and beam routines, as well as bringing creativity and precision to each performance. My greatest fulfillment comes from mentoring young athletes, helping them grow into strong, confident, and joyful individuals both in and out of the gym.

I have been with Wichita Gymnastics Club since 2016. I started as a member of the competitive team and transitioned to a team coach over the years. Currently, I am working on my Bachelors degree in Nursing at Wichita State University and plan to graduate in December 2025. My favorite think about coaching is watching the girls grow their confidence in themselves and their skills.

Jerry has been a cornerstone of WGC since 1981. A retired Physical Education teacher with 20 years of service in the Wichita Public Schools, Jerry brings decades of experience and passion to the gym. Originally from Alabama, he graduated from Sterling College and has dedicated his career to helping young athletes of all ages reach their full potential. Jerry isn’t just a coach—he’s a mentor, a role model, and a true WGC legend!

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker. I have been a part of the WGC family since I was four years old. I am former competitive gymnast turned coach who has coached everything from Super Tot classes to Level 8 competitive gymnasts. In my free time, you will find me spending time with my husband and our two dogs, and also teaching young adults Bible study at my church. What I love most about WGC is that everyone is family, and it feels like a second home.

Conny grew up doing gymnastics in Germany. Later as a teacher she loved teaching gymnastics in Germany, Pakistan and Tajikistan at different schools. Now living in the U.S. she is happy to be part of WGC teaching recreational gymnastics and Ninja classes to different age groups. Her hobbies include gardening, cooking, knitting/crocheting, and helping others. Here life goal is to know Jesus more.

Hi, I’m Kerri! Gymnastics has been a part of my life for over 45 years. I started as a competitive gymnast, and over the years, I’ve worn many hats in the sport — coach, judge, and gymnastics mom.
I’ve had the joy of coaching athletes at every level, from the tiniest “itty bitty” beginners to accomplished Level 10 gymnasts. Watching kids grow in confidence, strength, and skill is what fuels my passion. Gymnastics isn’t just a sport to me — it’s a way to help kids set goals, work hard, and celebrate their achievements along the way.

I grew up at WGC and was actively involved in gymnastics throughout my childhood. I have been coaching since 2021, in that time I have coached in all of our programs ranging from parent-and-child classes up to the competitive team level. I am attending Friends University to study Health Management on a powerlifting scholarship. Coaching allows me to build meaningful relationships with athletes and support their growth, not only as gymnasts but also as individuals. I take pride in being part of a program that fosters confident, happy, and healthy athletes.

I began my journey into competitive gymnastics at age 6 in Edmond, Oklahoma. I moved on to cheerleading in high school, with a continued love of tumbling and general fitness. In college at Oklahoma State, I opened my own gymnastics business, “Wendy’s Tiny Tumblers Gymnastics”, taking my own equipment to various daycares in Stillwater to coach fundamentals in their facilities. When my daughter became serious about gymnastics, it renewed my interest in the sport. I recently passed the first level USAG Judges exam and I enjoy studying the USAG Code of Points. I have past experience as a volunteer team coach for XCEL and am excited to be helping again as an assistant coach for the teams!
