Volunteering at Intrust Bank Arena is much like a part-time job working in concession stands, beer portables, and other locations within the concourse for all the different events that they host.  The benefit of this opportunity is that you only work as much or as little as you want. Pay is typically a flat rate amount as well as tips. All base rate earnings are divided as follows: 20% of base rate to WGBA general fund, 5% to the IBA coordinator, 5% to the event days lead and the remainder as well as 100% of the tips going to the volunteer. 

While our fundraising group is growing, these opportunities are open to gymnast's parents, grandparents, siblings over 18 years of age as well as family friends! Reach out to them and see if they would like to support your gymnast with a fun group of parents!

NOTE: Parents of gymnasts will have priority to work events.

What does it entail?

• Arrive on time to work an event (An hour or two before doors open)
• Count inventory
• Setup concession or alcohol stand
• Ring up and serve guests
• Clean up stand
• Have fun with other parents

Attending ServSafe Alcohol training and successfully completing the test to earn a Certificate is required as this is required to serve alcohol at any event. This can be earned online but is usually offered as an in-person class by Intrust Bank Arena a few times each year. A private Facebook Messenger group is used to communicate about the available events.

Pay is typically a hourly rate as well as tips. All hourly rate earnings are divided as follows: 20% of the hourly rate to WGBA general fund, 5% to the CII coordinator, 5% to the event days lead and the remainder as well as 100% of the tips going to the volunteer.

This fundraiser can be held by the gymnast's parents at any time of the year and provides the most bang for your buck. 100% of what you receive (reduced by any transactions fees) goes to your gymnast's account to be used for apparel, meets, or anything else relating to gymnastics!
